Released On: Dec 6, 2012 My Score Hover and click to give a rating Saved This is a great graphic adventure from every perspective: storytelling, plot, gameplay… If you love the genre and/or science fiction, The Silent Age is a very recommended option. Smart, mysterious and layered beneath a very welcome dose of otherworldly eeriness, The Silent Age will delight any adventure gamer who feels that the genre's revival, welcome though it is, is just a little too light-hearted in the 21st century. The Silent Age is an eerily evocative adventure game that benefits enormously by an extremely well thought out time travel mechanic. In order to solve the wide variety of puzzles, you must use a small device to shift across time from the 1970s to a post apocalyptic future. It's similar to Day of the Tentacle in that respect but make no mistake, this is not a simple clone of old-school games. The Silent Age is one of the most uniquely original games to come out of the adventure game mini-renaissance that is occurring on iOS right now. I am greatly anticipating the sequel to this title and truly appreciative that this first chapter is available for free. If you want something more thoughtful than the usual tap tap app crap that is so prevalent in the iOS ecosystem then The Silent Age is not to be missed. The Silent Age is very good experience, in the vain of point and click puzzle adventure games. While, for the most part, the puzzles are easy, utilizing a pretty cool time travel mechanic, it's the story and writing that really carry this game through. Every time you click on an item, your character will have something increasingly funny to say each time. If you are looking for a good story to keep you entertained while you sit in a waiting room, or on a train, this game is certainly worth a buy. Assuming additional episodes maintain the same quality of this first entry, The Silent Age will continue to be a must-play series well into the future. Clearly, I enjoyed The Silent Age: Episode One, and I think there's a lot to admire here. It's free, and there are no in-app purchases, although you can donate to the developers' efforts to fund and finish Episode Two (of two, if I understand their blog correctly). I'd love to see Joe deliver that message and learn the answers to the mysteries raised in this episode, and I think that if you play it, you'll feel the same way. The Silent Age Episode 2 [Chapter 9 - Inside Archon] WalkthroughTake the green access key card from the skeleton's hand, then go trough the door on the right side.In the time machine room, you will find a instant photo camera, lying on the floor.Head back to the main room, travel to the past, and use the green key card to open the left door.Go inside, and take a picture of the man inside the cryogenic chamber. Then go trough the door on the right.Take the half-eaten apple that's in the trash can. Tap the panel on the right wall, to turn it on.Talk with the guy in the room, then use the photo on the eye scanner to open the lab door.Talk with the scientist, then travel to the future and take the dustpan that's inside the cabinet.Now travel to the past, and go inside the elevator in the main lobby. Use the dustpan to get the dirt that's in the left corner.When you get out from the elevator, there will be an earthquake. Search for the cause of it. Go to the time machine room and you will notice that the time machine is gone.Now go to the file room, and open the cabinet on the right. Empty the mud into it and place the apple in the dirt. Travel to the future and a apple tree will be there. Take an apple and go to the scientist room.Give the apple to the scientist, he will go out to eat it, allowing you to steal the jar with green liquid in it.
