In the original which apparently were supposed to better balance it alongside the new weapons, however the difference is minimal and only serves to frustrate when you have other better mods that affect the Service Rifle already.Third, something the original mod lacks: armor variety. It's supposed to be an expansion of the NCR, but all you see are the same 4 armor variants over and over again. Now, the chest rigs and backpacks do give a lot of visual variety, but they still look rather plain, especially when you see them next to the Legion from Arizona Slave Army. It leaves a lot to be desired, and many of the armor mods on Nexus change way too much and just make the NCR look like a completely different faction by either giving them combat armor with a different texture or just give them modern BDU with modern plate carriers. It really betrays the WWI British/ANZAC aesthetic the NCR have currently. What they really need is some very simple visual variety so you don't see the same soldier 10 times over either marching along with you or running angrily at you with the same rifle. What I've added:Backpacks:All in all, there are 10 new backpacks that the NCR soldiers can spawn with, half being backpacks and half being duffel bags:NCR Backpack: The basic NCR backpack, with a radio and water bottle. It weighs 4 pounds and gives +50 carry weight.NCR Backpack, Gunner: An NCR backpack loaded with ammo containers. It weighs 4 pounds and gives +50 carry weight, as well as +10 Guns.NCR Backpack, Mechanic: An NCR backpack with a variety of tools strapped on. It weighs 4 pounds and gives +50 carry weight, as well as +10 Repair.NCR Backpack, Medic: An NCR backpack with a first aid container as well as other medicinal cures. It weighs 4 pounds and gives +50 carry weight, as well as +10 Medicine.NCR Backpack, Wanderer: A rather unique looking backpack for the NCR made for long treks day and night, as evidenced by the hanging lantern and ready Caravan Lunch. It weighs 4 pounds and gives +50 carry weight, as well as +10 Survival.NCR Duffel Bag: A more spacious alternative, the NCR Duffel Bag gives even more carry weight, however you may be slowed down by all the bulk. It weighs 4 pounds and gives +75 carry weight, with a downside of -1 Agility.NCR Duffel Bag, Mess Kit: An NCR Duffel Bag with a mess kit readily available, important for soldiers on tour. Fixes many problems with the previous mod and adds extra content. Requirements Permissions and credits Introduction:Have you ever wanted an expansion of the gear NCR troopers receive, while still being lore friendly and not radically changing how they look? Want to just add a bit of variety to an already well done faction without completely changing their identity? Sick of all the "overhauls" that just replace the iconic NCR armor with generic combat armor, or worse, make the NCR look like knock off Call of Duty characters? There was one mod that I've ever found in my 10ish years of FNV modding that even came close to what I was desiring. It's called NCR Rearmed. It leaves the armor as is, however adds new backpacks, chest rigs and even weapons into the leveled lists of all NCR soldiers. In my opinion it's almost perfect. Almost. The original mod has a lot of problems.Firstly, half the backpacks that OpposingFarce adds from Drags New Armor Pack are, quite frankly, missing. The assets are there, textures and meshes all. Despite this, even though he shows the backpacks in the original screenshots, they don't actually exist in the plugin. Furthermore, it seems only one variant of the backpacks that do spawn would even spawn in the first place, meaning all the cool variants that you can give yourself in console won't be distributed via leveled lists. All of this, and the backpacks are completely outclassed by other backpack mods like Alex's Backpack Mod, Canvas Backpacks - Remade and Better Balanced Backpacks in terms of balance and bonuses.Second, the smaller addition to the original mod: Weapons. Originally, the mod adds 4 weapons: the Service Assault Rifle and Service Marksman Rifle as well as their unique variants, War Winner and Knight Stalker. I quite like the models and was sad that nobody had made a kNVSE patch for them. The grenade launcher on the Service Assault Rifle especially caught my attention as Sigerious has created an excellently animated functioning underbarrel grenade launcher for the Marksman Carbine. Sadly however I couldn't port the animations over fully properly, as both the aimed fire animations and the fire rate were both extremely buggy. Furthermore, NPCs always clipped their hand through the grenade launcher. On the upside, I was fully able to port Hitman47101's amazing animations over to all the new weapons introduced with this mod. Furthermore, the base game Service Rifle had some weird edits

Here is the house version:I do like the trench coat sleeves. Not having the ranger bracers really helps to differentiate it from the full NCR duster. I wonder though if the NCR ranger duster might look better since it has the shoulder flaps/pauldrons (I have no idea what to call parts of a duster that go over the shoulders) that would cover the trenchcoat arm seams. Might make a smoother transition. But then again if it's dark grey it might stand out less.BTW good job on the color matching those look really close. I'v been having a heck of a time with mine.I put together a legion one using Caesar's clothes; really like how his clothes fits for the full duster and it works even better for the partial duster. Gonna have to put a stencil on the emblem though. Also I'd like to really dirty it up more. Maybe I'll check out some of those "aging" tutorials. I had thought there were some legion greaves I could replace the NCR bracers with, but apparently other than Lanius's there isn't. But I dont want to replace it with the trench coat sleeves. I'd like to keep them just for the NV & house versions & keep bracers for the NCR and Legion since they strike me as more combat oriented. There are some leather spiked bracers on the legion instructor that might work. Also some raider armor looks like it's wrapped around a leather sleeve so that might be usable. Possibly I'll sneak in some of the metal armor greaves, but I'd rather keep it fairly light armor. Also need to put some additional stuff on there. I'm not sure if it should also be legion themed like maybe ammo belts, knives from their other uniforms or wastelander stuff that the courier would use (anything from belts to canteen, binoculars etc.)But I do like the Caesar base clothing, what do you think. The other one that looks good is the centurion kilt.

“I've been in the military my entire life. It's a family sort of thing.”Quartermaster Bardon is the quartermaster for the New California Republic, stationed at the Hoover Dam offices in 2281.Background[]Bardon's brothers and father all served in the New California Republic Army, and he is proud to be a career military man himself. He was recently relocated to Hoover Dam and voices his strong support of the NCR cause and excitement at being able to perform his duties on the front lines of the conflict with Caesar's Legion.Interactions with the player character[]Interactions overview[]Interactions This character is a merchant.Sells: AmmunitionArmorWeaponsOther interactions[]He will trade with the Courier after a Speech check (at least 50). While he first says that he cannot trade with anyone, he can be convinced. This option will only appear with an "Accepted" reputation with the NCR. He will also trade with the Courier if they have received Colonel Cassandra Moore's approval.Inventory[]Notes[]Quartermaster Bardon is one of only two vendors (the second being the Great Khan armorer) who still use a Fallout 3 style combination of "Rare" and "Common" inventory lists. By comparison, most other vendors use some combination of lists broken down into five "tiers." This difference in inventory composition makes it more likely Bardon will carry certain uncommon stock, such as recon armor, T-45d power armor, mantis gauntlets, ballistic fists, Shishkebabs, chainsaws, super sledges, rippers, and the Fat Man.Upon exiting trade with him, he will speak in a different voice. He is notable for having extremely large supplies of most ammunition types, some of which range from 500 to 7000 units.Even with a Barter skill of 100, Bardon carries well over a quarter-million caps worth of inventory. It is possible to buy from Quartermaster Bardon even with a "Vilified" reputation or being declared a terrorist, so long as the Courier is wearing NCR faction armor, has previously passed the dialogue to trade with him, and has bypassed the rangers patrolling the dam.Notable quotes[]"I've been in the military my entire life. It's a family sort of thing. My father served, my brothers serve, and I serve.""They're a bunch of evil savages if you ask me. We're out here trying to save these good people from being enslaved by those bastards. I hope we kill 'em all.""I'm not here to make money, I'm here to watch the NCR supplies for the dam and that means no supplies for you."Appearances[]Quartermaster Bardon appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.Bugs[]v · d · eHoover DamLocationsHoover Dam · Hoover Dam checkpoint · Hoover Dam intake tower · Hoover Dam lower level · Hoover Dam offices · Hoover Dam power plant 01 · Hoover Dam power plant 02 · Hoover Dam power plant 03 · Hoover Dam power plant 04 · Hoover Dam tower · Hoover Dam visitor center · Oliver's compoundCharactersGeneral Oliver · Colonel Moore · Quartermaster Bardon · Allison Valentine · Ranger Grant · Private Jensen · Private Jeremy Watson · Mike Lawson · Ranger Stevens · Paladin Todd · NCR Ranger Veteran commander · Great. Does anyone have the Scavenged NCR Armor mod?

Very static ammo loot. Should be a lot better now.The Future:I've been working a lot on new armor meshes, as you can see from some of the images I've uploaded to my profile, but I've also been working on something I think will be really interesting: unique weapon variants. I have 2 new unique weapons in the works; one Assault variant belonging to a very patriotic NCR soldier, the other being the old beaten wooden furniture rifle of a humble ranch farmer's son conscripted into the army to feed the war machine. I'm not sure how exactly I want to add them, but I do know I want them to be on specific NPC's or as rewards to certain quests. I've been debating whether or not I would make them obtainable to an NCR character playthrough or if this is a treat for a Legion or Yes Man route. I've also been considering changing the reward for certain quests to one of these depending on the outcome. Nevertheless, I'm excited for where this is going.Back to the armor for a bit, I've a few new variants I'm considering, but I've held off because A) making the female variants might take a while as I'd have to remake them from the ground up essentially and B) I don't know if they've gone too far into the "tacticool" territory and don't fit the NCR army aesthetic. What I have considered though is making them a complete replacement for the MP Trooper armour, seeing as they fit the more martial law cop aesthetic IMO. You're free to go onto my profile and see one of the armors (It's the one with the security vest and radio, for reference) and comment what you think there.I really can't help myself with rambling on, can I? Ugh, I'm sorry for doing this again. I just haven't really been fired up about this game in so long, it's really made it all new to me again. Well again, please don't be a stranger and comment what you think!Credits:OpposingFarce for the original NCR RearmedDragbody for their backpacksGunnars2 for the Marksman/Sniper variantsTheFrenchTickler for their Chest Rigs (They've hidden the original mod)TumbaJamba for their duffel bagsMillenia for her amazing retexturesCaptainJoesph and Sweet6Shooter for a ton of bugfixes and optional contentM.C.
