I recently had to uninstall Gabriel Knight 2, but before I took it off my computer I copied what I thought were the saved game files (ie GK2SG.000). Jan 16, 2022 2:45 PM in response to JennaLStack Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities JennaLStack,Based on your description of the issues you're describing with Safari, we reccomend completing the troubleshooting steps outlined on the following page: If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expectedCheers! Jan 31, 2022 2:07 PM in response to JennaLStack Hi JennaLStack ,Let's try disabling Safari extensions if you have them, to further isolate the issue. The "How to turn off or uninstall extensions" section of the following page explains how: How to install Safari extensions on your MacStart by disabling all extensions. If this resolves the behavior, re-enable each extension one at a time, testing between each. Should the issue reoccur, note which extension was most recently re-enabled. If you're unable to narrow things down to an extension, test Safari while your Mac is booted in safe mode. While booting in safe mode, non-essential software is prevented from loading. If Safari works as expected there, software disabled by safe mode may be the cause. Start up your Mac in safe modeWe'll look forward to hearing back from you! Feb 6, 2022 1:17 PM in response to JennaLStack Thanks for keeping us in the loop Jenna, If you restart from safe mode normally, and the issue remains resolved, no additional steps are needed. Safe mode is able to resolve some issues on its own. If the behavior returns after exiting safe mode, that would indicate that the issue was likely caused by software prevented from loading only while in that mode. The first place to check is login items. The following page mentions startup issues specifically, however since we've isolated the behavior with safe mode, these steps also apply here: Remove login items to resolve startup problems on your MacWe hope this helps! Feb 9, 2022 12:44 PM in response to JennaLStack Hi Jenna! We appreciate you giving those steps a try and reporting back. You wouldn't want to continue using safe mode as that mode is limited, but it did help isolate the issue. From here, we recommend that you contact Apple Support, and let them know the details of the issue, including that you were able to test in safe mode, where the issue does not occur, but it happens again when you restart normally. They'll be able to assist with the next steps, taking that information into account. Take care! Jan 30, 2022 1:46 PM in response to 1ssmith Hello. I tried that link and followed all steps. I found that when I use a private window the issue does not occur. However, when I followed the instructions and deleted website data the problem still persists. You ever overlocked you GPU and encounter the CS:GO crashing issue, you can try lowering it back to the default setting. If not, or it doesn’t help with the situation, you should try Fix 3. Fix 3: Verify integrity of game filesYou may have this CSGO crashing issue if some files of your game installation are corrupt or have been deleted as a false positive by antivirus programs. So you can verify the integrity of game files to see if it fixes the issue. To do so:1) In Steam, go to LIBRARY.2) In your list of games, locate and right-click on Counter -Strike: Global Offensive in your list of games and click Properties.3) Click LOCAL FILES > VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES...4) Wait until the game cache verification finishes.5) Close the windows in Steam and exit Steam.6) Relaunch Steam, then run CS:GO and see if the CSGO crashing problem has been fixed. If the crashing problem still occurs, move on to Fix 4, below.Fix 4: Launch CSGO in -autoconfig or -safe modeYou can also try running CSGO in a different mode to see if the crashing issue disappears. Here we recommend the -autoconfig mode and the -safe mode. You can use only ONE of these launch options at a time. Once the game crashing issues have been resolved, you’ll need to remove these modes. Launch CSGO in -autoconfig mode:Launch CSGO in -safe mode: Launch CSGO in -autoconfig mode: 1) In Steam, go to LIBRARY.2) In your list of games, locate and right-click on Counter -Strike: Global Offensive and click Properties. 3) Click SET LAUNCH OPTIONS…4) Remove ANY launch options currently shown. 5) Type -autoconfig and click OK.6) Exit Steam.7) Re-launch CS:GO and check if the CSGO crashing issue has been resolved.Launch CSGO in -safe mode: 1) In Steam, go to LIBRARY.2) In your list of games, locate and right-click on Counter -Strike: Global Offensive in your list of games and click Properties. 3) Click SET LAUNCH OPTIONS…4) Remove ANY launch options currently shown. 5) Type -safe and click OK.6) Exit Steam.7) Re-launch CS:GO and check if the CSGO crashing issue has been resolved. If yes, then congrats! But if you still haven’t had any success, move on to Fix 5, below.Fix 5: Reacquire all CSGO game files1) Exit Steam.2) On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and E at the same time, then copy & paste C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam into. quick guide West Office Safe Solution in RE 2Re: Is the file readerdc_it_fa_cra_install.exe safe?

There is also a "Safe List" feature, where you can hide the "safe" processes that you do not want to display (this is useful for finding spyware). It is pretty simple, and was made from a few posts from the forums.
