Google recently renamed Nearby Share to Quick Share. (Image Source: Google)Earlier this year, Google renamed its ‘Nearby Share’ functionality to ‘Quick Share’. Available on Windows, ChromeOS and Android devices, the feature lets users quickly share documents, images, videos and other things between phones, desktops, tablets and more. The functionality works without internet, so you don’t have to worry about running out of mobile data.The quickest way to find Quick Share on your Android device is by heading over to your phone’s ‘Settings’ app, scrolling down to Google and tapping on ‘Quick Share’. If you are unsure how to share files with your friends or family, here’s how to use Quick Share on your Android device.How to use ‘Quick Share’ to share files with others on Android?1. To send files using Quick Share, open the image, file or link you want to share and tap on the ‘Share’ button from the app you are using.2. Now, tap on the ‘Quick Share’ option and you will see a list of nearby devices.3. If you are unable to see the device you want to share files with, tap on the three-dot menu from the top right and click on ‘Settings’.4.
