BestCodes last edited by @mardiyah Based on the question, it appears that you are asking for guidance on how to download Opera for Windows using a Linux browser? To do this, you can follow these steps:Open your Linux browser (e.g., Firefox or Chrome) on your Linux machine.Go to the official Opera website by typing in the URL: you're on the Opera download page, find the download button for Opera on Windows. Click on it to start the download process. You can also download the 64 bit version directly here: or here: the download is complete, locate the downloaded file (usually in your “Downloads” folder) and open it in an emulator such as Wine.Follow the installation prompts to complete the installation process.Once the installation is finished, you should have Opera for Windows successfully installed on your Linux machine. Please note that this method involves downloading and installing Opera for Windows on a Linux machine. While it is possible to run Windows applications on Linux using compatibility layers like Wine, it may not provide the best user experience or full functionality.I hope that this helps you… Hi, I'm Best_codes! Or at least it wasn't, I haven't checked if things have changed but before you would have to build Chromium with hardware acceleration enabled. As to the ads, the browser would require to have an ad blocker automatically built in.But yeah, I've been pretty busy with work. I haven't checked out Firefox GX, but those Firefox-gx guys should add my suggestions if they haven't already. illogicalfallacy last edited by This post is deleted!

Only users with topic management privileges can see it. last edited by leocg Greetings, all...As a Linux user, I find it highly upsetting that I'm unable to test, help develop, and create feedback for the browser (Opera GX) for the community. More and more users - specifically gamers, since they're your target audience - will be switching quite quickly to Linux, due to the many advantages Linux gaming has over Windows gaming, and I believe the early access should not just be limited to Windows - rather, it should also be available for Mac/Linux users as well on relatively similar levels. Would it be possible to give support for Linux so users in the Linux community can contribute to further accelerate the growth of this browser?Re: GX on GNU Linux? stakfallt last edited by I hate to bump an older thread (but rather than create another thread for the same thing, I thought it would make sense to reply to this one. But I completely agree! I use Linux (Manjaro) at work as my primary OS, and I recently came across a news article referencing the buying of Yoyo games by Opera and Opera GX and so I played around with Opera GX a bit over the weekend and I really liked it. I, like the op, find it highly upsetting that Linux users are left out to test, help develop, and provide feedback on features for the browser. More software really needs to support Linux and I don't mean just Ubuntu, or RedHat either.Come on Opera, make this happen. It's built on top of Chromium isn't it? Is there really Windows specific stuff that can't be ported over? I know cpu and memory are handled a little differently, but if you're working within the Chromium framework already and Chromium works on Linux (and most of the non-core OS stuff is going to be javascript anyway), I feel like it shouldn't be that hard since Chromium already runs on Linux. Are you guys really modifying the code on the C/C++ side that much that this is out of the question? At least, announce that you're working on it or something... gleycon last edited by We want OperaGX on Linux now! That's not linux ! That's windows ! That Terrible ! So i did the follow :search for the package using apt, dnf, yay, arch, auch, conda, pip, python, tif, taf and tufLooked on my 18TB backups of torrents i never useScanned my 6000 movies for the change i overlooked a .deb fileAsked google, jeeves, aol, bart, chatgpt, you, bing bang and bungFinally found this forum thread and made an user just for thisStarted complaining :Dear Opera GX developers, have you heard of this OS called "Linux" ? More and more people use it, specially for development, gaming and trying to escape MSAppleSoft. Now wouldn't it be great to instantly get 50 to 500 thousand extra installs and make the same people happy instantly if you made the browser available ?So stop looking at dancing women and make that flatpak, deb, rpm, dnf, yay, pacman, or .deb file. Or do like everyone else : Make a distro with GX pre installed and call it GX-Linux 94 ! However, it looks like only Windows is available.is this true or can someone give me a link?If there is no mail program for Linux, is there a plan to make one soon?I like the browser and would imagine the mail client is just as good.I do not like thunderbird. gustavwiz last edited by In what language of the Wikipedia page? Because in English, it stands that it's available for OSX and Windows, not for Linux.Anyway, the info above is correct. There is no Linux version, and it seems Opera is not working on the mail client either. The chance of a Linux version is very small. The client is based on Presto (used in Opera 12), and as Opera is using Presto no more, Opera mail seems like, as others on the forums have stated, a dead-born product. sgunhouse Moderator Volunteer last edited by There was a non-public development version for Linux just before they released the stable versions for the other platforms. At the time, the new Opera for Linux wasn't ready, so they didn't release Mail for Linux. When Opera for Linux was finally updated to the new version, I did tell them they should release Mail as well, but they aren't interested.
