Poppit Sands Beach (also known as Poppit West) is a large sandy beach just outside of Cardigan. As a Welshman born and bred, I’ve visited most of the beaches in Wales by this point so it’s a big accolade when I say that this is one of my favourite beaches in West Wales. I’ve been told that you can occasionally spot porpoises and dolphins swimming offshore, although I’ve never seen any myself. During Autumn, seals breed near Poppit Sands so you may see them with their pups. You won’t see these from the beach itself but will need to trek along the coastal path. It also has two electric car charging points and cycle racks. The car park is free for the first 30 minutes for cars and motorcycles. You’ll experience dramatic clifftop views and it’s great for spotting wildlife such as wild ponies, sea birds, seals, and maybe even dolphins. Find out more here. For a longer walk, check out the Poppit Sands circular. This is an easy but long walk at 15km so it can take most of the day but will be very rewarding. 2. WatersportsSurfing and sailing are popular at Poppit Sands because of the challenging waves. If you’re surfing, the waves here are beginner friendly but there can be a rip-tide where the estuary meets the sea.If you’re paddleboarding or kayaking, I recommend starting further up the estuary near The Ferry Inn and making your way down to Poppit Sands.3. Poppit! to Go is a puzzle game developed by Pogo and release in 2005. It was available for download unitl the client shut down in 2013.Description[]The main goal in Poppit! is to pop out clusters of two or more balloons bearing the same color until none are left on the screen. There are 150 balloons in three to six colors, set by the player in the options menu. Some of them hide different prizes, which are released when the balloons holding them are burst. When the player pops out a group of balloons, the ones below take their place, since they tend to float upwards. Thus new color groups may appear. Besides increasing his score, the player can also earn Pogo tokens. They are awarded for every Super Pop (popping a group of eight or more balloons), unused power-up and prize released.
