This was a basement computer build without even a computer case, but lots of fun stuff to connect. I wanted to control Winamp (and anything else) on a regular computer monitor while simultaneously using the big TV to show Milkdrop at the same time. Your solution worked like a charm. Thank you so very much. This helps to makes my basement a pretty fun place to be. Don't forget to live before you die. Comment Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2020 Posts: 1 Just ThanksYou know how 99% of the time you look up info on a forum, use that info and then move on with your day? Here's my 1% of the time: Just wanted to say thanks to both @AusPanda & @Platzformer. It was Platz solution that worked for me, but thanks to Aus for the additional info. I tried @Clancy info given that I have an ATI card too, but no dice, searched all files in that directory. no joy. I registered to this forum after a decade of using Winamp just to make sure I said thanks....yup Milkdrop on 2nd monitor...means just that much...last time I tried this, Milkdrop didn't even have that preference menu. LOL Comment DRINK BEER NOW(Forum King) Join Date: Feb 2006 Posts: 10066 In reading your post, I noticed a grammar mistake on my post above it. "This helps to makes" lol. Should have been make. There's a lot of valuable stuff here on Winamp Forums if you are good at searching, and if not, people are usually pretty happy to give you a link to the answer if you post a question. A while back they used to shame people for not being able to find the needle in the haystack, but now they're better at directing you to the right spot, or answering the question on their own if it hasn't been covered before.I'm very thankful for the content here, and thankful that there's people going out of their way to say thanks. And the people that get the thanks are probably thankful that I'm thankful for you being thankful for them lol. Don't forget to live before you die. I'd do some more tests myself, and maybe as a last resort install Dracon Center if I had to. - Turns out I didn't have to!What I did was to install Windows 10 on another disk. I could already during the installation hear the fans working correctly, and when the installation was done, everything was fine, in this new version of Windows 10. This made me conclude that it's at least not a motherboard hardware issue, and I won't have to repair anything. Now I thought I would have to install Dragon Center on my original disk to make the fans work again, or maybe even re-install windows. To my surprise, when re-inserting the old disk with the original Windows 10 installation, the fans now works again!.. What? I did nothing with this disk. Somehow, the fan control now works again, just because I installed Windows on another disk! Can anyone explain this? :oAnyway, the problem is gone, and I'm happy again./Anders #13 I should add that I did install Dragon Center on the new temporary Windows install, just to test it. Could this have helped the fans come to life in the old install somehow? :o #14 I should add that I did install Dragon Center on the new temporary Windows install, just to test it. Could this have helped the fans come to life in the old install somehow? :o Black magic, Lisa Su cast a spell and it was fixed..lol #15 Can anyone explain this? :oAnyway, the problem is gone, and I'm happy again./Anders I would like an explanation as well lol. Dragon Center can do some unexpected things, and it may or may not have had an effect on your fans. Your guess is as good as mine.I have also experienced a few weird and quirky things occur with my current AMD build (I haven't built with AMD since 2008). It actually does behave as though magic is at play. At this point, I don't even bother trying to overclock anything. I simply leave everything on "AUTO", Enable XMP, enable PBO, and let it run amok like Dr. Jekyll & Mr Hyde lol. #16 This is on an X570 Godlike, but none of the fans on or connected to the board are dynamic at all. This is extremely dangerous and my system shuts down regularly from overheating. Anyone find a solution to this?? #17 View attachment 149166This is
