Sep 24, 2009 4:12 AM in response to wehutty Fixes small bugs add's some nice new features for the iTouch and such.... Well worth it I think Sep 24, 2009 4:52 AM in response to wehutty One thing that iTunes 9 broke, that hasn't been addressed in the 9.0.1 update is smart playlists not appearing in the desired sorting order on an iPhone when compared to their sorting order as they appears within iTunes: Example: You create a smart playlist of Podcasts with a playcount of 0 You sort your list of Podcasts in alphabetical order in iTunes by simply clicking on the "name" in the "name" column. - or - you click on "time" in the time column to sort your unplayed Podcasts so that the playlist sorts them by shortest first and so on. Here's the problem... In iTunes 8 the above synced playlist would appear identical on the iPhone as it did in iTunes. In other words, you could listen to your Podcast playlist in the order you desired / setup within iTunes. In iTunes 9, THIS HAS STOPPED WORKING! Is there some way to upgrade iTunes 9 be reverting back to iTunes 8? iTunes 8 just worked. Cheers / Badtastic Sep 24, 2009 6:43 AM in response to wehutty There are no new features (as compared with iTunes 9.0). Any features that would be added to an iPod touch itself would come from an update to the iPod touch OS, not to iTunes. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. Ok, related to my last question -- my computer died, I got a new one and just downloaded iTunes onto it. I also have a brand-new iPod nano, with all of my lovely songs and playlists on it. Does anyone know how to transfer songs from an iPod to iTunes? I downloaded a program, iPod2PC -- does anyone have any experience with this? I just don't want my iPod to be erased and lose it all forever!! If you have content from CDs on the iPod. You will need to put the CDs back into iTunes. Step 1: Authorize new computer About iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization Step 2: Transfer purchases from iPod into iTunes Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer Dec 8, 2008 5:21 PM in response to Andrew T. I don't think that's actually true. I think there's other, third-party software you can use. Anyway, I put in about 100 CDs a few years ago, and don't have the CDs any more. So I sure hope there's a way to do it! Dec 8, 2008 5:32 PM in response to bennett arble It's what Apple supports Bennett meaning what we will assist you with over telephone support or email support. Yes there maybe third party apps that do more then what I have provided. I am simply stating what I can provide you with here today. Hopefully you understand.
