06, 2018 5:07 pm My Wacom driver says its up to date (6.3.30-6) and I try doodling in Sketchpad and it was able to sense pressure and also registered every line I drew. In Gimp I have the stylus and now eraser set to "screen". Gimp still has problems detecting pressure and also detecting inputs form my tablet, problems that did not appear in the sketchpad. Mon Aug 06, 2018 6:50 pm koalsandro, you are not the only one to have had this issue. Many other people from as far back as 2011 (that I can see) have also had an issue with gimp, pressure etc. Although they must have eventually worked out what the problem was. I had a quick look before and many are solved. Search for Wacom and the problems other people have had may help you as you read through them.Sorry I can't as I don't use a tablet Tue Aug 07, 2018 2:41 am Although no artist, I have a Wacom Bamboo tablet and I use Windows - this may help.I am currently using Gimp 2.10.4 but was using these settings with Gimp 2.8.22 - think you would be better off with a more recent version of 2.8 unless you have compelling reasons to stick with 2.8.14.Here is a screen shot of what these settings do - excuse the lack of artistic pen control: A_Tablet_Test.jpg (30.15 KiB) Viewed 6537 times This is what my brush tool settings looked like at the time: BrushToolSetting.jpg (120.36 KiB) Viewed 6537 times And this was the setting for the brush dynamics matrix (note the Wacom Tablet Pressure Stylus has the input focus highlighted): MappingMatrix.jpg (91.51 KiB) Viewed 6537 times More to follow... Maybe because we talk of a lot of other things that seems totally unrelated to photography, too, because to speak just of photography could become boring. For the few who don't know who Roy Lichtenstein was, here it is the usual Wikipedia page, and some artworks can be found on Google Images.Everything is made with the standard tools of The Gimp, without to add anything to it.If you don't have The Gimp, download your own copy: no need to look on Emule for a bootleg copy, like for other famous softwares, because The Gimp is free!If you want to try with your own photo, here it is what I do, step by step. In square [] parenthesis there is a reference to to menu to select, and you'll find the values used by me.
