Tragedy sweep the headlines, relating to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We've seen at least one other publisher, Nintendo, change its plans around launching games that depict war, even when the game in question--Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp--is quite lighthearted and cartoonish in its style. Might Epic be scrambling to alter how it presents it apparently war-themed season? Might it even delay the season entirely? The answer to both questions is a resounding "probably."Fortnite Season 1 story recapThis season has revolved around The Seven and the Imagined Order, particularly with regard to The Paradigm, the ousted member of The Seven who is possibly the key to defeating the IO before it can regain its position of dominance over the island. That's the opinion of The Scientist, anyway, who has spent all season trying to convince the rest of the masked group to allow The Paradigm to re-join the group. The island is once again under threat as we approach Fortnite Season 2.At the conclusion of Chapter 2, The Foundation and Jonesy successfully flipped the island to defeat the Cube Queen, and in doing so, also sent Doctor Slone and the IO packing, too--but not for long. Deep beneath the surface of the island of Artemis, Slone and the IO have been drilling in an effort to re-emerge and likely attack The Seven.Drills have appeared all across the island, and slowly but surely the IO has regained something of a foothold, albeit still a contested one. Rumors of Season 2's Seven-IO war further indicate that next season will be all about these two factions going head to head for control of the island. The IO wishes to control The Loop, while The Seven seeks to break it. It's likely that players will be caught in the middle of this struggle and maybe even have to choose sides. As seen in the below tweet, leakers have also found data that points to how the story will change gameplay in Season 2, with things like tanks, a zeppelin, and vehicle modding further pointing to all-out warfare on Artemis. You can bet we'll have full coverage of these new features and more as soon as the season goes live later this month. Here's some content that was being worked on this season but still unfinished, most likely for S2:- Tanks- Cattus Cave- Tactical Sprint- Double Deagle- Jetpacks Chest- Clamber Mechanic- Tactical Overshield- Zeppelin (maybe IO NPCs)- Vehicle Mods: Armor & Turret(1/2) — HYPEX (@HYPEX) March 5, 2022 Such lingering story threads do seem to suggest a live event is on the way, as The Paradigm's dramatic return feels exactly like the sort of thing we'd see in an event. Children of Artemis can control water only from the forest's rivers, lakes, ponds, and rain.Shape-Shifting (Limited): Children of Artemis have the ability to turn into to turn into animals of wildlife. However, this ability is quite rare.Chlorokinesis: Children of Artemis can use Chlorokensis and have control from a forest's tallest trees to its grass.Zoolinguism: Children of Artemis have the ability to communicate with and understand stags, hawks, and wolves given that they are their mother's sacred animals. They can also understand other wildlife.Night Vision: Children of Artemis have night vision that allows them to see in even the darkest night.Moonlight Lasers: Children of Artemis can fire lasers of moonlight from their eyes, just like their mother can do. It works identically to heat vision.Lunar Gravokinesis: Children of Artemis can use the moon's gravity to weigh down an opponent and hinder their mobility, or they can make themselves nimbler by lessening the gravity around them.Children of Artemis can create wings of silvery light to fly. They can even give temporary wings to other people. This fails if the child is too weak. This can only work while the moonlight is present, meaning this does not work on a night of the New Moon.Moonlight Enhancement: Children of Artemis can heal at an accelerated rate if they are bathed in moonlight, as well as move faster and hit harder.Children of Artemis can infuse a weapon with moonlight to make it deal more damage. They are also more powerful when the moon shines on them, and they can use moonlight to communicate with Anyone, espescially their mother and other lunar gods.Moonlight Constructs: Children of Artemis can create large constructs from moonlight, generally in the shape of a stag or doe, as a means of communication or offense, but the construct can only be twice the size of the user. The larger the construct, the more power it requires from the child. They are also masterful at using lunar-based attacks.Moonlight Healing: Children of Artemis can also use moonlight to heal their allies. However, the more serious the injuries are, the more energy and concentration it requires to restore them. If they use this ability too many times within a day, they will eventually be unable to even conjure a single ball of moonlight, let alone keep their eyes open.Lunar Travel: Children of Artemis can use moonlight as a means of teleportation and appear anywhere as long as the moonlight can shine in that location, known as "Lunar Travel", which functions identically to Shadow Travel.Children of Artemis have the ability to temporarily shed their human form and become raw moonlight. A good signThe readiness of the Orion crew capsule, where the four Artemis II astronauts will live during their voyage around the Moon, is driving NASA's schedule for the mission. Officially, Artemis II is projected to launch in September of next year, but there's little chance of meeting that schedule. At the beginning of this year, NASA officials ruled out any opportunity to launch Artemis II in 2024 due to several technical issues with the Orion spacecraft. Several of these issues are now resolved, but NASA has not released any meaningful updates on the most significant problem. This problem involves the Orion spacecraft's heat shield. During atmospheric reentry at the end of the uncrewed Artemis I test flight in 2022, the Orion capsule's heat shield eroded and cracked in unexpected ways, prompting investigations by NASA engineers and an independent panel.NASA's Orion heat shield inquiry ran for nearly two years. The investigation has wrapped up, two NASA officials said last month, but they declined to discuss any details of the root cause of the heat shield issue or the actions required to resolve the problem on Artemis II.These corrective options ranged from doing nothing to changing the Orion spacecraft's reentry angle to mitigate heating or physically modifying the Artemis II heat shield. In the latter scenario, NASA would have to disassemble the Orion spacecraft, which is already put together and is undergoing environmental testing at Kennedy Space Center. This would likely delay the Artemis II launch by a couple of years. In August, NASA'sBEST COMBOS FOR NEW ARTEMIS SKIN (IMMORTAL ARTEMIS STYLE)! - Fortnite
The monsters’ names and some simple gestures. The biggest hint at the language’s use was the trailer for Natalie’s in-game skin for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, where Admiral (more on him later) approaches her while talking in the in-universe tongue. Milla Jovovich Has An In-Game Skin Capt. Artemis doesn’t appear anywhere in the games, but Capcom has seen fit to retroactively fix this. In the Artemis “Monster Hunter” Movie Quest two-part Event Quest that’s coming on December 4, 2020, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne players will get to play as Capt. Artemis. Not only will they receive exclusive movie tie-in items, but they’ll get to see how the movie and games connect. This is a step up for Jovovich, as far as her video game movies go. Though she headlines the Resident Evil series as Alice, she never appeared in the games before or after the movies. Capt. Artemis’ DLC marks Jovovich’s video game debut. Milla Jovovich Chose Capt. Artemis' Weapons If you go to the comments section of any Monster Hunter trailer, it won’t be too hard to find jokes about Capt. Artemis’ poor choice of weapons and armor. One scene fans took notice of was Capt. Artemis using fiery Dual Blades against the fire-resistant Rathalos, which is a dumb in-game move, to put it nicely. Another was her charging into a boss battle wearing what looks like low-level armor. These inconsistencies aren’t accidental; in fact, they were Jovovich’s choices. To help herself get in character, Jovovich picked weapons and armor that she used in-game. She grew a fondness for the Dual Blades, which she described as “beautiful” when used in combat. Also, she scored more kills when using them. The Director Is A Big Monster Hunter Fan Anderson is no stranger to video games, getting his start with Mortal. Artemis is a Fortnite esports player.
