I disliked the sound of it, which made me search online for something. I found a “realtek-UAD-generic” driver (that I would link here, but I am unaware of the policies regarding links) which, after following the steps it provided, removed that driver and replaced it. It worked beautifully, and gave much cleaner audio. However, my headset's mic does not work with this (it simply does not detect any audio input device/driver) resulting in me reinstalling the proprietary drivers.
