Genesis 4 Chapter 4 The Birth of Cain and Abel and their Occupations The Family of Adam The Bible mentions that Adam and Eve had many other sons and daughters. The story of Cain and Abel follows the messianic line of Jesus. 1 - The man knew Eve his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Cain, and said, "I have gotten a man with Yahweh's help." 2 - Again she gave birth, to Cain's brother Abel. But is the story ‘just’ a moral tale, or might it be an attempt to explain something deeper about the development of human civilisation?Let’s take a closer look at the story of Cain and Abel.
