You can use carbide but I've never been a fan of this due to the shock of an interrupted cut which chips the brittle cutting edge. While spindle speeds are much slower I prefer using HSS for use in a fly cutter as it resists shock much better and touching up the cutting edge is much less work. Fly cutting demands you tram the mill head fairly close or you'll be cutting an angled and/or concave surface. Hot chips are thrown everywhere so guards are important or you'll catch a hot chip down your shirt or have a large area around the machine to sweep up. The other type some call a fly cutter is a multi insert tool that does use carbide inserts. This is useful for harder materials, stainless steel, or have a large plate to deck down to thickness. The multi insert type isn't as susceptible to shock like the single bit are but still have comparatively short life for the inserts, particularly in a mill like a Bridgeport. If you're new at this I suggest a "lathe tool" type of single bit using a HSS bit to get familiar for the lowest cost. Do make sure the set screws are locking the bit in for safety. Use cutting oil, set your spindle speeds per diameter and material (use guards when cutting) and find what works for you. You can always spend more money later on more expensive tooling if you need/want to. Carbide isn't always the best choice for cutting metal but it is more expensive. There's a lot of good advice here. My vote would be for an HSS tool also unless you're cutting a meteorite.Regards Tyrone.

Balsa model you ever see has rubber bands that go completely over the wing chord from LE to TL. What happens is that as the model starts to fly, the front of the wing lifts up because the 2 rubber bands they recommend aren't strong enough to keep it from doing so. This changes the angle of attack on the wing (increases) which causes the stall. Some of the other replies here aren't wrong. If your model is tail heavy, it will do act similarly and be almost uncontrollable on the pitch axis. This solved my issues on both models and they both fly relatively well. I won't say they are great fliers because they are small enough and light enough that I won't fly them if there is more than about a 3mph wind. They get tossed around easily. Try it and let me know what you think. It is a bit of a pain to get 4 #64 rubber bands through the small hole in the wing, but this will keep the wing from lifting up and causing a stall.Hope that helps! PRCAZ, I was concerned with the way the wing was being held on with the rubber band through the wing. Not to mention it was a bit of a pain to route the rubber bands. So for the second build I added a more traditional dowel just below the front edge of the wing. With four rubber bands I doubt the wing was lifting on take off. To craft various vehicles. The last vehicle that players will unlock is the Gyrocopter, and this is the only vehicle in the game that flies. While it can be difficult to control, with a bit of practice, it's possible to go from novice to expert in just a few minutes. The Gyrocopter Is Not A Helicopter Just on looks alone, it's easy to imagine the Gyrocopter working like a helicopter, where turning the rotor blades on is enough to make it fly. But looks can be deceiving, as the Gyrocopter works more like a plane; it needs time to pick up enough speed to get it to lift off the ground. That's why it's important to have a nice flat area for both take-offs and landings. That said, with a bit of practice and a few well-placed ramps, it's possible to master taking off and landing with relative ease. Always Check The Gyrocopter's Fuel One of the most important things to remember about the Gyrocopter is that it consumes a lot of fuel. Before attempting to fly it, make sure it is refueled (preferably at 100%) to get the most use out of it. It will not fly without any fuel, which can become a major problem when when in mid-flight. There are a few things in the game that can be done to help with the Gyrocopter's fuel consumption. Learning the Vehicle Fuel Saver Mod will decrease its fuel consumption by 50% once it is installed, and the Vehicle

Fly mod is a mod that, essentially, does exactly what the name would have you believe. It gives players of Minecraft the ability to take flight, and this is certainly a useful ability to have for a variety of different reasons. Of course it goes without saying that a mod of this sort takes a bit of getting used to because its functionality is unlike anything else that you can find in vanilla Minecraft but, once you’ve gotten the hang of how it works, you’ll be able to utilize it to great effect thereby enhancing your Minecraft experience by a tremendous amount. The Fly mod implements a full-fledged 3D flight system in Minecraft that allows players to soar the skies without any trouble. There have been similar mods before, but the great thing about this particular mod is the fact that it requires absolutely no setup in order to function. Most mods of this sort will usually require you to craft an item that’d make you fly but, in the Fly mod, you won’t have to worry about this at all since you’ll be able to soar towards the skies by yourself without needing any equipment. The control scheme of the Fly mod has to be one of its biggest highlights because it’s quite intuitive. Since the flight in this mod is in full-fledged 3D, you’ll be able to utilize your mouse’s movement to steer the direction of your character as it takes flight. It’s important to remember, though, that you’ll actually. Fly cutters allow you to make fine finishes on large areas. This is a set of three 1/2 shank fly cutters and blank tool bits. The 3/4 body fly cutter has a 3/16 tool bit. The 1-1/8 body fly cutter has a 1/4 tool bit. The 1-3/8 body fly cutter has a 5/16 tool bit.

Enjoy the Future Campaigns a bit more than thehistorical ones. What the scripted campaigns lack in the logistic planning challenge, they make up for in flavor. Even the "bumper music" is period specific, with hendrixian acid rock for Vietnam and synth-heavy tunes for DesertStorm. The aircraft are right for the era also- Rhinos and Thuds for'Nam, Vipers and Eagles for Iraq. The strange mix of aircraft in theVietnam theatre makes for some interesting problems- flying the Thudagainst a MiG-19 comes to mind. Let the rather impressive enemy AI suckyou into a knife fight and you tour of duty will be shortened a bit. The missions in all Campaigns and Single Missions consist of multiplepackages with specific tasks (i.e. CAP, SEAD, strike, etc)- each ofwhich must successfully carry out their assignments. You can jumpeasily between aircraft in the individual flights. I fact, to completemost missions I have flown, you have to. Friendly vs Enemy AIIf the enemy AI is so good- and it is- why does friendly AI suck sobadly? I have witnessed a flight of four strike package fly to itstarget, one aircraft drop a single bomb (that misses), an elementleader fly into terrain, and the remaining flight of three initiate aRTB. That made me have to drop out of my incomplete CAP, turn thestrike flight around, shack the target, and return to my now depletedCAP flight (friendly air to air skills also lacking).
