AMD network Specific such as audio, network adapter or in some cases 3rd party storage controller drivers, should be downloaded from the motherboard product page. Chipset drivers, if possible, should come from AMD or Intel depending on the platform you have. In some cases, like with Intel Z390, they don't offer them on their website and you HAVE to get them from the board manufacturer. In that case, then that is what you do. Otherwise, you get them from the source, who is giving them to the board manufacturer anyhow. #18 No. Any "changes" made by the manufacturer specific chipset drivers will be overwritten by whatever AMD or Intel have designated in their release. It's like putting a white short sleeve shirt on under a black long sleeve shirt. It's pointless. As mentioned, other drivers that are board model specific such as audio, network adapter or in some cases 3rd party storage controller drivers, should be downloaded from the motherboard product page. That did not come out the way I was thinking about it, I see now that I was sloppy with my wording (I guess my excuse is insomnia LOL) 😀 What I meant was not to do a double install of the full driver for the motherboard (because as you said that is just redundant) but to install the other drivers specific for that mother board such as LAN, WiFi/BT, sound drivers etc and then install the AMD drivers from AMD for the actual chip set.I am glad to clarify this now! 2025-04-08I would follow this basic method of installing new AMD Drivers:install AMD driver:1) Download the correct AMD Full Set of drivers from AMD Support. Make sure your Windows is fully updated via Windows Update. Windows Must be fully updated because the latest AMD Drivers requires all the latest "Optional" and "Recommended" updates to be installed.2) Use Windows Uninstall to uninstall current AMD driver and software and disconnect the internet from your computer. Then use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from Wagnardsoft Forum in Safe Mode. This will eliminate all traces of the AMD driver and software from your computer.Delete C: \ AMD folder from the Root Directory. Reboot 3) Go to Device Manager and click "Display Adapter" and make sure you are on the MS Basic Display Adapter. If not, uninstall the AMD driver using Properties.4) Try reinstalling the AMD FULL SET OF DRIVERS that you have downloaded manually. Make sure you disable the Internet to prevent Windows from installing a newer version. So configure windows to prevent it from updating drivers via windows update. So it has been mentioned to disable any anti-virus programs before installing AMD Drivers.5) If the new AMD drivers installs and works correctly, delete again the C: \ AMD folder from the root directory. To save space on the HDD.6) Enable both the Internet and Anti-Virus program (if applicable).7) Go back to Device Manager and check your GPU card driver is working and identified correctly. Here is the latest AMD Driver for the RX590: Radeon™ RX 590 Drivers & Support | AMD After installing the driver as per above procedure, Go to Device Manager and see:1) See if your RX590 AMD Driver is running without errors2) See if AMD HD Audio Device is showing3) Make sure there are no yellow Exclamation marks or Errors showing for any driver. Now go to Windows Sound Panel and select your Default Audio device with AMD Audio. Make sure you have your HDMI cable connected to the RX590 and under BIOS the RX590 is the main Graphic adapter for booting into Windows and not your Integrated Graphics.
2025-04-07Repeat, leave the PC completely without voltage for 2 hours, turn it on - everything works. I repeat once more, now I leave it for the whole night, turn it on. And here the problems begin. It doesn't see the SATA hard drive at all + the network card falls off because it doesn't see Wi-Fi or cable Internet either. Bluetooth is still working correctly while network adapter is not available. My specs:MB - msi b650-p pro wifi (bios ver. 7D78v1C)Cpu - ryzen 7500fPsu - 650 seasonicDram - kingbank ddr5Video - 2070superHere is what the official msi suport recommended: "Regarding your concern, please unplug power cord and turn off power supply, take out motherboard battery for more than five minutes and reinstall it. Then please enter BIOS, press F6 to load optimized defaults, press F10 to save and reset. After that, please enter Windows, install latest AMD Chipset Driver, Realtek PCI-E Ethernet Drivers, AMD WIFI Drivers from MSI website to check again. Thanks!"Didn't try it yet. But the comment about cmos battery upper is giving me some hope.
