The skill tree allows for a wide range of options, letting you customize him in areas such as combat, Signs, alchemy, and more. Naturally, this allows for different builds to crop up, and with the release of the Next Gen update, this is a great time to grab your swords and jump back into the world of the Witcher. We have selected six strong and fun builds to help you on your journey or to try something new, and they all work very well whether you’re just starting out, or are going for New Game+, and even Death March difficulty. Even with some nerfs and buffs to skills that came with the update, there is a wide variety of flavors that you can pick from to suit your style among the best builds in the Witcher 3. With everything lined up, your Aard will be a source of crowd control, AoE damage, as well as healing. The gameplay revolves around setting up a Yrden field around you to set off the Griffin School set bonuses, then spamming Aard for damage and healing, weaving in Quen and Igni as needed. With this build, you will barely ever need to unsheathe your swords. The Quen Sign can help mitigate a mistake here and there as well. Meanwhile, you’ll be looking to build up and maintain your Attack Power bonus from Bloodbath. With this build, you can raise your Attack Power to extreme heights, which allows you to plow through enemies like they’re nothing, as long as you don’t take any damage. You can leverage bombs to help you stun and soften up the enemies.

Actually you can have both Heightened Tolerance and Poisoned Blade. My build is 6 sign skills + 3 alchemy skills + 1 general + 2 interchangeable skills. So 6 of my favorite sign skills (melt armor, Igni stream, delusion, active shield, sustained glyph, magic trap), 3 alchemy skills (poisoned blade, protective coating, synergy), griffin school technique and the other 2 will be base on if I want to use potion & decoction or not. When roaming, doing side quest even witcher contract that doesn't require me to use potion & decoction, I put puppet & Aard sweep with greater blue mutagen, so it boosts my sign intensity. When I need to drink decoction, I use Acquired Tolerance and Tissue Transmutation with a greater green mutagen. Because if I am not using decoction it's a waste to equip Acquire Tolerance and Tissue Transmutation.Poisoned blade is useful when fighting against monster who can regenerate HP like werewolf and vampire because it will prevent the HP regeneration and against flying monster so when they are flying they HP still depleted from poison effect. Most people use euforia in B&W, but I'm a sign enthusiast so I plan to use Piercing Cold which will add freezing effect on Aard. But they said in higher level enemy won't affected by piercing cold, so maybe blood bath which will 100% trigger execution is a good one. Not a fan of chugging potions & decoction. I enjoy taking down enemy slowly. The mod overlays the Meditation UI on top of the game world, allowing you to see Geralt meditating whilst time passes.
