Bridge can definitely do what photomechanic can do, and a lot more, really.But photomechanic is MUCH faster when strictly culling.Personally, my workflow when dealing with large volume shoots is to cull in photomechanic, then move to bridge/photoshop for editing. Photomechanic When using Bridge for culling, I recommend the following settings to speed things up.1.Use the "Filmstrip" layout. This allows you to hover/click on things within the image to enlarge in a little window if needed.2. Set preview size from "Standard" to "Embedded". This is done using the dropdown menu in one of the icons at the top right (the one with a right triangle near the funnel icon. I leave the other settings at their defaults. If using the default standard preview, it is several times slower to bring up each image.3. Once you delete something click on the buttons that say to use this option for everything vs getting multiple popups asking you if you really want to delete the image. You may want to check to see how to undo deletes before using this.
