Hello,Have any of you done that settup where you install that DSP plugin to WinampAnd then download the Shoutcast DNSA GUI client?You just run that shoutcast gui thing, then you start winamp and it's dsp pluginAnd you just give out your ip http:333333:8000/listen.pls to your listeners.I do it this way a i don't have a shoutcast server online.So what i am wondering is, how would i be able to do this with Ableton?OrIs there a way i could just run that shoutcast gui as normal and then startwinamp with the dsp plugin, and somehow have winamp or somethin pick up the sound from ableton?Someone please help me figure this out, i've seen a few posts on shoutcast broadcasting with ableton but have no clue how to do it..I want to do it from the samp laptop..But even if i ran ableton on anopther system, how will shoutcast pick it up on my other system?Thanks later DiGiTaLFX Posts: 28 Joined: Mon May 07, 2007 4:41 pm Post by DiGiTaLFX » Sat May 26, 2007 2:49 pm If you run 2 systems, connect up the output of one to the other's line in. and then tell winamp to play line:// or linein:// (can't remember which it is). This way it will listen to the input to that computer (you might have to change from mic to line selected in windows recording properties). Sorry don't know

However, I recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad S340 laptop and now have a problem. Normally, when you click on the triangle to the left of a Shoutcast station you want to hear, it connects and begins to play. However, when I do that on my Lenovo, it tries to download a file called "tunein-station.pls" It asks me if I want to open or save the file. I've tried both choices but the station I select does not play. I've tried various searchs on the Winamp forums but can find nothing which seems relevant. I had version 5.8 installed. I uninstalled it and installed version 5.666 but it had no effect. Still won't load or play any station I try. I can copy and paste a Shoutcast station URL and Winamp works fine.
