Hi,My camera does not have a GPS and I geotag most of my pictures.I used to remember the places where pictures have been taken and drop pictures onto the ACDSee map when at home. This is a burden and, if done a few days later, does not work (often forgotten precise location).Below is ok for Windows PC and Android phone. I do not know for Apple world.I now :synchronise times (and time zones) of PC, phone and cameraUse Geotracker on the smartphone to track GPS during picture taking. 2025-04-19DJI will timestamp images base on the time source (iPad, cell phone, etc) being used by the app that is connected to the aircraft during flight. This time source can sometimes be erroneous and can lead to issues when trying to process in ASPSuite with incorrect image times. This issue usually occurs with the first flight, with the following flights having the correct time stamps. There seems to be an issue though, where the correct time is either not being used by the iPad, or the updated time is not being communicated to the drone. This seems to occur most often when traveling across time zones, or after the drone and iPad have not been used for a long period of time. Cycling the power on the drone seems to correct this issue, which is why it usually only occurs on the first flight. All subsequent flights usually get updated with the correct time. If you power on the drone and connect to the iPad, then cycle the power of the drone before the first flight of the day, it should help you avoid this issue. This document describes the process for shifting the image times using GeoSetter.Shifting Image Times with GeoSetter 0 people found this article useful 0 people found this article useful
2025-03-31To Pro after it one a shoot-out (on my own terms) with SmugMug. However, the map quality is rubbish on satellite images around the UK for flickr.com. Google maps is far far superior in every respect, now question. In my opinion the Maps image quality is so bad that I can't be bothered to geotag my images as it's just a best guess seeing as some roads aren't listed and I can't pin-point it using a satellite image. I agree with danpatmore... get your act together Yahoo or just adopt Google maps... It's what everyone else is used to... sorry to be harsh but it's true! Posted ages ago. You can either use a program like geosetter to add geo location data to the EXIF before you upload to Flickr, or use the loc.alize.us/#/geo:0.000000,0.000000,2,k bookmarklet application to directly geotag within Flickr using Google Maps. 2025-04-18Including plugins (see this bug report). Many users have complained about this poor design. The best solution is to use the Geoencoding Support plugin or the Geosetter program. But if you want to stick with Lightroom’s geo-encoding, Any Tag can make your life easier. The Find Uncommitted Locations command finds photos that have uncommitted location fields. Select one or more photos and do File > Plug-in Extras > Any Tag > Find Uncommitted Locations. The photos with uncommitted fields will appear in the top-level collection Uncommitted Locations. The Commit Locations command turns the suggested location values into permanent values that can be edited and saved to metadata. Select one or more photos and do File > Plug-in Extras > Any Tag > Commit Locations. Note that Commit Locations ignores videos—Lightroom doesn’t have the ability to write metadata back to videos. If you have Saved Locations in the Map module marked as “private”, or if you have the option Catalog Settings > Metadata > Export Address Suggestions Whenever Address Fields Are Empty unchecked, then Commit Locations won’t be able to commit the locations, and it will warn you. Change the appropriate saved locations to be non-private or select the catalog option. The Commit Locations command is not very fast, processing about one raw photo per second. Lightroom doesn’t provide plugins with a method for accessing uncommitted field values directly, so Any Tag must export the photos to tiny thumbnails and then extract the values from them. These commands are free to use and don’t require a license after the 30-day trial ends.Keyboard ShortcutsWindows: You can use the standard menu keystrokes to invoke Any Tag commands. For example, ALT+L opens the Library menu, U opens the Plug-in Extras submenu, and K invokes the Any Tag Filter By Keyword com command. In addition, ALT-N and ALT-P move to the next and previous photos in the Tag command. To reassign a different final keystroke to an Any Tag menu item, edit the file Info.lua in the plugin folder. Move the “&” in front of the desired letter in the menu command’s name, changing the name itself if necessary. To assign a single
