Or will it be like storm 1/2 where themes can be used on both? 03-09-10 08:56 PM 19 I have the 5.0 version of theme builder, and can use the 9650 simulator (seperate download) just fine, but when I plug my actual 9650 in, it says its not the correct phone. Since theme builder doesn't have a 9650 option, I tried the tour 9630 and the bold 9700 to make a simple test theme...neither one will load onto my phone. The 9650 runs an identical OS and all the 9700/9630/9650 themes are cross compatible on OS5. The 9630 required a new suite because it was a new OS revision for 4.7.1. 06-04-10 07:20 PM 23 I'm having the same problem, actually. I was downloading the installer from BB.com and I'm getting the same version I already had which was posted back in 11/2009. Published May 31st, 2010 8:02AM EDT Ah, a Tour owner’s dream. The BlackBerry Bold 9650 started life out as the BlackBerry Tour2. It then went through a late-stage metamorphosis and received a memory upgrade and name change for a couple of different reasons. One of the reasons is to utilize a positive product name RIM has built (the Bold line), and another would be to prevent hundreds of thousands of angry BlackBerry owners from practically taking over the entire city of Waterloo, Canada. You see, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 is what the Tour should have originally been, and by releasing a Tour2 under a year from the original device’s debut would be straight up insulting. RIM killed two birds with one stone by renaming the device to be a Bold, continuing a successful device brand, and also trying to not completely obliterate an existing handset (even though the Tour 9630 will certainly be end-of-life’d very, very quickly). So is the BlackBerry Bold 9650 the best in the biz?
