That is, during the examination, if necessary, the doctor performs polyp removal, ablation of pathologically altered areas of the mucosa, EMR (endoscopic mucosal resection), ESD (endoscopic dissection of the submucosal layer).
Endoscopy is the gold standard for diagnosing diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, in which the doctor is able to see in detail the condition of the patient’s internal organs.
The examination is carried out using an endoscope – a thin tube with a video camera at the end, which is inserted through natural pathways.

Gastroscopy is an examination of the gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach and duodenum) using a gastroscope.
Colonoscopy is one of the most accurate methods that allows you to quickly obtain comprehensive information about the condition of the large intestine and detect various diseases and cancer at the earliest stages of development. The examination is performed using a colonoscope – a flexible tube with a video camera at the end.
Gastroscopy
Indications for gastroscopy are:
- pain in the epigastric region;
- nausea vomiting black stool;
- weight loss;
- general weakness;
- anemia of unclear etiology;
- familial polyposis.
Colonoscopy
There are indications for colonoscopy:
- the presence of blood in the stool;
- chronic constipation or diarrhea;
- prolonged pain in the lower abdomen;
- general weakness ;
- weight loss;
- anemia of unclear etiology;
- ulcerative colitis (UC);
- Crohn’s disease.
